Next Up | Ross County | ViaPlay Cup

Two matches, two defeats so far in this season’s League Cup, but the games come thick and fast, with Premiership Ross County, heading south on match day three.

OPPOSITION

The Staggies are the most Northerly team in the top flight of the SPFL, and it’s a long trip midweek, but they are sure to be full of confidence, having won both their group matches to this point. Malky MacKay’s side emerged victorious from their Premiership relegation play-off final with Partick Thistle at the end of last season, and will be anxious to avoid such a nerve-wracking climax to the new campaign.

KICK OFF

Kick off is 19:45 on Wednesday 26th July at Meadowbank Stadium.

ADMISSION

As per agreement between the five clubs in group D, admission prices are as follows:

  • Adults | £14
  • Concessions | £10 (over 65s & under 18s)
  • Under 12s | Free (with a paying adult)

Pay at the gate will be in operation once again, with card terminals at both turnstiles. You can, as always, get your tickets via FanBase ahead of match day and we also have our unique pre-match hospitality at the Bellfield Brewery pre-game. For only £32, you get your match ticket, a free pint on arrival and delicious pub food! You can get your tickets or book hospitality by clicking here.

KIT SELECTION

It’s almost time for our new kit, but again we will be in white shirts, black shorts and white socks, with our goalkeeper in all yellow. Ross County will wear their home kit of all navy, with the goalkeeper in all red.

TEAM NEWS

Long-term absentee Ben Stirling will be missing, along with Liam Fontaine and most likely, Ouzy See, while he sees out his TV commitments. Innes Murray misses out through suspension, following his dismissal against Stranraer, however Callum Crane may return to the squad after missing the last two matches.

PREVIOUS MEETING

This will be the first meeting of the two sides in the SPFL and we are delighted to welcome our Premiership opponents to Meadowbank. It’s sure to be a tough test, but one that the players will no doubt relish.
