Clyde vs Edinburgh City FC

Today we travel to Broadwood to play Clyde in another crucial League 2 clash.

OPPONENTS: CLYDE

Danny Lennon’s team are in a fantastic vein of form, unbeaten in 15 matches, their best streak since 1956-57! The Bully Wee’s senstation sequence began back in November with a 1-0 win against City at Ainslie Park and they have not looked back since. They have a squad full of quality players with the experienced John Rankin in great form and talisman David Goodwillie back to full fitness in recent weeks. Per their website, Chris McStay and Ally Love are expected to return to the squad. Kris Syvertsen, however, is doubtful due to a neck injury.

PREVIOUS MEETING

As we touched on previously, Clyde’s historic unbeaten run started back in November at Ainslie Park, when a John Rankin drive was enough to separate the teams. Prior that we have visited Broadwood twice this season, drawing 1-1 in the BetFred Cup back in July and then winning 2-0 on league duty a month later. Today is likely to be another titanic clash in the promotion battle!
